Privacy Policy

Overview

InventoryQ provides inventory analytics, alerts, reorder recommendations, and reports for Shopify merchants. This policy explains the data processed when a merchant installs and uses the app.

Data we process

Depending on app use and granted Shopify permissions, we process:

• Store identity and authorization data, including the permanent myshopify.com domain, Shopify sessions, granted scopes, and encrypted access credentials.
• Product, variant, SKU, barcode, vendor, product type, inventory item, inventory level, and location data.
• Order and line-item operational data used to calculate sales velocity, inventory status, and reorder recommendations.
• Merchant-configured thresholds, lead times, safety stock, target coverage, and notification preferences.
• Notification email addresses and email delivery records when email alerts are enabled.
• Subscription status and identifiers supplied by Shopify Billing.
• Technical logs needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service.

InventoryQ does not intentionally store customer names, customer email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, or payment card data.

How data is used

• Authenticate merchants and isolate each store's data.
• Synchronize inventory and order information from Shopify.
• Calculate inventory segments, alerts, sales velocity, and reorder recommendations.
• Generate merchant-requested reports and notifications.
• Manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures.
• Respond to legal, security, and Shopify compliance requests.

Service providers and disclosure

Data can be processed by hosting, database, monitoring, and email delivery providers that support InventoryQ. Data is not sold. It can be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or during a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Active-store data is retained while needed to provide the service. Uninstalling the app revokes access, clears active sessions, and stops synchronization. Shopify privacy webhooks are used to process customer data requests and shop redaction requests. A shop redaction request deletes the related InventoryQ store record and its dependent operational data, subject to legally required retention.

Security

InventoryQ uses Shopify authentication, store-level authorization, encrypted stored access credentials, database constraints, transport encryption, input validation, and rate limiting. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

International processing

Service providers may process data in countries outside the merchant's country. Appropriate contractual and technical safeguards should be used where required by applicable law.

Your choices and requests

Merchants can update notification preferences in the app and can uninstall InventoryQ through Shopify. Privacy or deletion requests can be submitted through the support contact below. Customer requests should first be directed to the Shopify merchant that controls the customer relationship.

Changes

This policy can be updated as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by the date shown above.
